Tonight High Speed YoYo will be launching their new store that will be focusing special releases for various companies. For CLYW they will be releasing two special edition caribou spinners. The Wolverine Gnarwhal (9) and the Mother Earth Wooly Marmot (5).

Zombie Wooly Marmot - By Greenonion

A couple weeks ago I got some sweet marmot artwork sent to me by Greenonion on the YoYoNation forum. They were Wooly Marmot characters … Zombie Marmot, Pirate Marmot, Supermarmot, Popsicle Marmot … ya all super super excellent. I love them!! After talking to Greenonion this sparked up a great idea for a Wooly Marmot contest:

Draw your own Wooly Marmot!!

Please use the blank jpeg here to start things off. You may modify it anyway you’d like by using your graphic design skills, pencil crayons, felt pens … or whatever you’d like. Then scan it or export it as a jpeg or pdf and send it to us.

Just make your Marmot your own style. I’m going to pick my favourite and that winner will get a custom anodized Marmot. You pick the colourway and effect and we make it happen (limited to two colours only). Plus we’ll do a random draw with all of the entries sent in to win a Wooly Marmot in one of our current released colourways.

Here’s a neat sneak peek of what we’ve been working on for Palli.



This special edition of the Gnarwhal has, what we are calling, ‘rifle marks’ on the profile. These grooves are only about .001″ deep and were done prior to bead blasting/anodizing so you can barely feel them while you’re doing a grind. We discovered this process by accident and felt that it would add a nice aesthetic to a caribou spinner. What better way to debut the grooves then to use them on the beautiful Puffin themed Gnarwhal we are doing for Palli.

The photo is pre-laser engraving. We’ll be adding some artwork on the inner hub that was done by Palli himself. The run size is 30 pieces and will only be available through our store.

This is Sebastian’s demo freestyle he did at Canada Nationals last weekend in Calgary. So GREAT! Worlds is looking like an amazing year for 1A!

Chuck has really been stepping up this year! Last month his epic video Golden Age and now he clenches 2nd place at Canada Nationals plus drops a great yo-yo demo video! Some may say hes “Up and Coming”, but with the skills he’s been throwing down, we think he’s already arrived!

Everyone loves Team Chubby Lovin. Drew, Seth, Abe and Johnbot always make throwing so fun! Drew just made this new video of their Spring Break hang out. It looks like so much fun!

Krisztian clenches his victory at UK Nationals with style and grace. This season he’s been running rampant across Europe cleaning up at contests left and right. His goal was to capture a seed to finals at Worlds, and he’s got that in the bag!
